What is the EU warranty label?
The EU warranty label is the EU-wide, official consumer notice about the legal guarantee (at least 2 years) under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960. Online sellers must display it prominently in their shop before the contract is concluded, from 27 September 2026.

Why you should act now
Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 makes the warranty label mandatory for all B2C online sellers.
- Legal basis: Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 (published 25 Sept 2025), implementing the EU Sale of Goods Directive (EU) 2019/771.
- Affected: all sellers with B2C distance selling in the EU - no size or sector exemption; pure B2B shops are excluded.
- What becomes mandatory: notice of at least 2 years of legal guarantee, clearly visible before purchase, with a QR code to „Your Europe“.
- Used goods: notice of a possibly shorter period, but at least 1 year.
- Consequence of non-compliance: risk of warnings (Abmahnung) under unfair-competition law by competitors and consumer associations.
