The legal guarantee is mandatory and always applies (at least 2 years). A manufacturer's guarantee is voluntary. Only if you advertise a guarantee does the GARAN label (Annex II, § 479 BGB) come into play in addition.
The harmonised guarantee label per Annex II. It shows the brand, model and duration of an advertised manufacturer's guarantee and appears only when a real guarantee exists.
